Viva: Magic Clip

Viva International Group introduces the Magic Clip by Viva collection, a line of eyewear featuring magnetic clips with polarized sunlenses. The basis of the Magic Clip technology is a magnetic interlocking system using two magnets instead of the standard four, resulting in a clean, streamlined design that is easy to use. The new line offers 22 updated classic shapes, including modified ovals and rectangles with double-bar navigator styling. Color options range from silver, gunmetal, antique brown and pewter to eggplant and satin red and burgundy. PHILOSOPHY: ¡°The advanced patented technology of the magnetic clip-on offers more than just function. The Magic Clip by Viva collection is updated and stylish with its streamlined look and feel,¡± says Debbie Lochli, Viva vice president, brand management. PRESENTATION: Merchandising materials include a six-place step counter display, 32-place floor display, countercard, logo plaque and window sticker. Each style comes with a hard case featuring a detachable clip holder and, while supplies last, a magnetic visor clip for cars.

Live Eyewear: Live Xtreme

Live Eyewear launches Live Xtreme, a line of high-performance sunglasses designed to fit over prescription eyewear. Tagged High Performance Optical HardWear by the company, the collection was developed for use in adverse conditions. Frames are aerodynamically styled and feature AirPads, air-filled rubber pads on the nose and browbar. Temples are flexible and form fitting. The patented SportsFrame technology comfortably isolates the eyes from the elements, allowing the wearer¡¯s eyes to remain relaxed and focused. Lenses are injected polarized polycarbonate, 2mm thick, optically correct, hydrophobically coated and meet ANSI Z87.1 safety glass standards for impact resistance. Frame colors include aluminum, blue, eggshell, graphite, safety yellow and silver. Lenses are available in gray, with or without a black flash mirror. The styles can also be worn without prescription eyewear. PHILOSOPHY: ¡°The SportsFrame design is a key aspect in Xtreme,¡± says Live Eyewear marketing manager David Dean. ¡°The eyes are not only protected by the lenses, but are enclosed within the body of the frame and thereby protected from extraneous conditions. We expect this and future SportsFrame models to be very popular in such challenging athletic endeavors as kayaking, rock climbing and high-velocity activities.¡± PRESENTATION: A one-place display/logo plaque is available. Each style comes with an alloy hard case and a micro-fiber pouch.
