Serengeti: Titanium Collection

Serengeti, a subsidiary of Bushnell Performance Optics, introduces a collection of four sunglasses featuring titanium frames. Styles are equipped with Sedona, Drivers, Drivers Gradient or Serengeti 555nm lenses. The Sedona is a high-contrast, rose-color lens that blocks glare and harsh light in all types of daylight conditions and excels at blocking glare in flat light. The Drivers lens, designed for driving and general-purpose wear, enhances vision regardless of light conditions. The Drivers Gradient lens, often selected by military officers and pilots, blocks the sun¡¯s glare at the top of the lens, while providing a clear view of instruments below. The Serengeti 555nm gray-green lens maximizes transmission of yellow and green light at 555nm even on the brightest days. All Serengeti lenses feature precision optics, Spectral Control Filters, photochromic technology, UV protection, blue-light filters and anti-reflective coatings. Two of the titanium frames are equipped with spring hinges.

PHILOSOPHY: ¡°A common complaint of glass lenses is they are heavy when placed in frames. Using titanium as a frame material helps eliminate the complaint because titanium is very lightweight and durable,¡± says Paula Humo, Serengeti product manager. ¡°With this new collection, Serengeti continues its mission of combining science and engineering with fashion and style
