Rem Eyewear: Ink

INK THAT

Rem Eyewear presents Ink, a new line of optical quality readers, consisting of nine styles made of laminated zyl. Powers range from +1.00 to +3.00 in 0.50 diopter steps. Shapes are variations on rectangles and trendy, distinctly angled upsweeps. Temple tips feature an “i” for Ink logo in an ink splotch. Colors consist of black, black marble, black crystal, brown, burgundy, gray, horn, eggplant, navy, olive, smoke crystal, tortoise and violet, and combinations of black and white, brown and sage, burgundy and amber, mocha and sage, and purple and denim.

PHILOSOPHY: “Ink is not your grandmother’s readers—they’re not even your mother’s. The intent was to bring a sense of fun and youthfulness into the collection by using trendy eye shapes in interesting color combinations. This is further enhanced by milling and lasering detailed patterns on the temples and endpieces,” says Blake Kuwahara, Rem creative director. “Thankfully, 40 is the new 20!”
