Arnette is making waves after signing
Jamie O’Brien, the world’s premiere free
surfer, as the company’s newest athlete.
A leader in action sports lifestyle eyewear,
Arnette sought out O’Brien to represent the
brand because, aside from his enormous talent in
surfing, his unique style and attitude render him a
true innovator and leader. “There is no other athlete
that more embodies the Arnette lifestyle,” says
Fabio d’Angelantonio, Luxottica Group marketing
director. “Jamie’s style, accomplishments, goals and
vision represent a new era, not only for Arnette, but
also for surfing. We look forward to great things to
come from this partnership.”
The new face of Arnette will be exclusively clad in
Arnette eyewear and featured in advertising, catalogs
and point-of-sale materials as well as in movies
produced by O’Brien himself. The collaboration is
an especially meaningful one for O’Brien. “I rode
for Arnette as a kid and am proud to be a part of
a company with such a solid history and track
record of innovation,” says the surfer. “Everything
has come full circle. This is the sunglass I want to
see the world through.” And soon enough, the
world will be seeing him in them, too.
