20/20's social media has made great strides socialEYEzing in the last year, snapping up followers, likes, retweets and shares. 20/20 is now the undisputed leader in optical networking online. We've created a community of interactive consumers, optical professionals and industry giants getting involved to feed and share their eyewear, frame, materials, trends, lenses, technology and fashion fanaticism. We trekked to Silmo trailed by our followers new and old, from back home and local to Paris. With that in mind, 20/20 put on a show inspired and energized by the optical excitement surging throughout Silmo's show floor. We spent time documenting 20/20's trend-spotting, sneak peeking and getting firsthand details of artists' intent and intricate manufacturing details from the designers, reps and shop owners themselves. Posting product pics and videos, Silmo shots and snaps of the City of Light, 20/20 stayed diligent in delivering to our followers the sights we were indulging in and were rewarded with a frenzy of interest over the Internet airwaves that reached and maintained a fever pitch. At the consecutive show back on domestic shores, Vision Expo West, the report of Silmo coverage had preceded us and stirred up a global socialEYEZing fever. Social media became a currency with which 20/20 also learned real-life followers, a catalyst for building relationships in the opti-world beyond Wi-Fi connections and "Like" buttons.
