Let’s go beyond the eyewear for this issue. Let’s go to the eyes. I have 10,000-plus vinyl record albums. Sometimes I feel I treasure them most for their covers. And THIS cover from the Scott 3 album by Scott Walker released in April of 1969 is easily one of the finest music statements I’ve EVER experienced. I’ve been looking back at that eye for years. Walker’s voice is intensely penetrating. His music mystifies and challenges in such an artistically great way. And this cover credited to Art Direction by Cally at Antar Copenhagen never fails to look right back at me and remember that one’s eyes are a precious door to… everything. Here’s hoping I see you at Expo East in April.
