This intense Brassaï photograph captures a young Henry Miller in the very early 1930s. He’s just about to light up the literary world with the Tropic of Cancer; steeped in a randy swirl of hedonistic biographical ramble-rousing. His eyewear is certainly a sort of “Story of Os” that is quite owlish, resplendent with cigarette, dip-brimmed fedora and what looks like a slightly disheveled-but-stylish lab coat. We’ll bet Anais Nin was just about to take him out for yet another free lunch.

We thought this SunVision cover might ride well on the same page with ZZ Top’s Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard. For this particular issue, Wiley X shades hit the road under that Bell helmet. —JJS
