CHICAGO—More companies are lining up to support the Prevent Blindness America Swing Fore Sight golf tournament and additional sponsorships and golf-signups are still available. The outing will be held on Oct. 2, 2008 in conjunction with Vision Expo West at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev.

Individual golfers may sign up for $500 or foursomes for $2,000. The shotgun start will be at 7 a.m. Leading companies sponsoring the event are Eyefinity/OfficeMate, Transitions, U.S. Vision, Hilco, Kenmark Group, National Association of Vision Care Plans, Advantica EyeCare, Charity Brands Marketing, Jobson Optical Group, Uvex/Sperian, Walman Optical and Nouveau Eyewear.

“As part of our 100-year anniversary celebration, we are excited to use this event as a way to bring together all of those who are passionate about furthering our mission of preventing blindness and preserving sight,” said Hugh R. Parry, president and CEO of PBA. Their involvement and dedication is invaluable to us!”

The group invites participants to sign up for the four-person scramble with awards being given for the low gross team, longest drive, closest to the pin, hole-in-one and more. All proceeds from the event will go towards the national non-profit’s sight-saving programs and initiatives.
