CHICAGO, Ill.–Industry support is building for the First Annual Prevent Blindness America “Swing Fore Sight” Golf Outing, which is to be held on Thursday, October 2nd just prior to the upcoming Vision Expo West in Las Vegas.

Dave Pierson, president and CEO of Refac Optical Group is chairing the event.

Several industry companies have stepped up to support the initiative, an important part of Prevent Blindness America (PBA)’s annual fundraising goals. At VMail’s presstime, these included Gold sponsors: Eyefinity and Transitions Championship for Healthy Sight; Silver sponsor U.S. Vision; Hole-in-One sponsor: NAVCP (National Association of Vision Care Plans), and Foursome sponsors: Advantica Eyecare, AMO and Essilor.

Additional sponsorships and sponsorship packages are available as are signups for foursome participation in Swing Fore Sight.

The event will kick off with breakfast/registration at 6:00am, followed by a 7:00 am “shotgun” start, and lunch/awards at noon, to be held at the Bali Hai Golf Club, right on the Vegas Strip. The format is a four-person scramble, and awards will be given for the low gross team, longest drive, closest to the pin, Hole in One and more.; Individuals and teams are welcome.
