Sama Eyewear adds a three-style Snakeskin Sunglass collection to its Sama line. All of the frames are made of 100 percent titanium and feature nickel-free hypoallergenic plating. Boa is an aviator design and Cobra and Python are navigators (more rectangular in shape). Each of these frames is accented with genuine snakeskin inset into cnc milled pockets on the temples and secured with rivets. The styles are available with two types of snakeskin—anaconda and python (please note: python is not available in California). All three sunglasses are equipped with Sama’s SLP polarized mineral glass lenses with a 1.8mm center thickness and seven-layer AR backside, anti-scratch, anti-fog and water-resistant coatings. Eye sizes range from 57mm to 63mm. Frame colors include black, brown, gold, gray, gunmetal, platinum and rose.

PHILOSOPHY: ““Because of the popularity of snakeskin in handbags, shoes and other luxury accessories, we decided to create a sunglass collection using this luxurious material as an accent,” says Sama designer Sheila Vance.

MARKETING: Each sunglass comes with a faux snakeskin case (gold or black) and cleaning cloth.

TIP

The snakeskin on these styles is set into the temples and therefore does not touch the skin, eliminating wear from oils and cosmetics.
