Hilco adds to its LeaderMax Kids line with a special Little Ones Collection designed for infants. The collection features three frames, two made from thin plastic and one from titanium. The two plastics come in pink or blue, with a flower design silk screened on the temples of the pink frame and multi-colored stripes featured on the blue style. The titanium frame is offered in a unisex tan color. All designs feature the patented SprinGuard lens retention system, which meets ANSI Z87 industrial safety eyewear guidelines, shorter temple lengths, comfortable child-size cable temples and low profile spring hinges to reduce the temple thickness without compromising durability and safety. The plastics have a wide flared saddle bridge appropriate for a child’s nasal fit. Eye sizes range from 33mm to 38mm.

PHILOSOPHY: “Our goal was to design a collection of infant frames that have the special features needed to fit a young child, while providing superior protection—all in appealing colors and shapes that any parent would love,” Hilco says.

MARKETING: Each frame comes with a special shaped case—a pink kitty, a blue train or a teal cow—and a Gund mini bear.

 TIP
Be certain to point out to parents such safety features in children’s eyewear as the flexibility and hypoallergenic properties of titanium and rubber temple tips and nose pieces. Parents will be more likely to purchase a quality pair of eyewear if they know what they’re paying for.
