HERNDON, Va.—The Opticians Association of America will hold its annual National Opticians Convention at the ABO-NCLE National Education Conference in Cincinnati, Sept. 19 to 21.

Over 100 hours of ABO-and NCLE-approved education hours will be offered; ABO-NCLE has developed the education program with support from education partners the National Academy of Opticianry, the OAA and the Contact Lens Society of America. The National Federation of Opticianry Schools will provide instructors for hands-on courses that will run throughout the weekend.

The conference will offer review classes for both the ABO-NCLE and ABO-NCLE advanced exams, with the corresponding certification examinations offered on-site; the Optical Showcase exhibit hall will highlight new products and demonstrations.

The OAA will hold its annual delegate assembly and business meeting Friday, Sept. 19, following a board meeting on Sept. 18. The OAA;’s Guild of Prescription Opticians will hold its annual business meeting as well as a board meeting during the OAA conference.
