AMITYVILLE, N.Y.--New York Eye/Hart
Specialties has signed an exclusive three-year licensing agreement
with Pepsi-Cola North America for a new collection of Pepsi branded
ophthalmic frames.
The collection, which will debut at International Vision Expo East
next month, will incorporate Pepsi's all-American pop-culture vibe,
according to Arthur Jankolovits, president of New York Eye/Hart
Specialties. The main target will be the youth market, but it is
designed to appeal to all ages.
"Pepsi is clearly one of the most recognized brands in the USA--one
that millions of consumers interact with on a daily basis," stated
Jankolovits. "The brand name immediately summons a positive,
refreshing feeling to the Pepsi consumer. That value is what makes
the Pepsi brand so suitable for other consumer products."
Pepsi is expanding its product range with licenses for apparel,
bags, accessories and jewelry.
New York Eye also offers the Coleman, Joan Collins, YM, and
Woolrich branded collections.
