NEW YORK--The Optometric Center of New York, the not-for-profit foundation of the SUNY-College of Optometry, will honor several industry executives at its "Eyes on New York" gala dinner here on  Friday, March 11  during Vision Expo East.

Honorees at this year's event will include Michael Daley, president of Essilor Lenses of America, Cary Rayment, president and chief executive officer of Alcon, and Silhouette Optical. 

Don Yee, senior vice president of Vision Service Plan (VSP), and Richard Feinbloom, president of Designs for Vision are corporate co-chairs of 2005's Eyes on New York gala.

Proceeds from the event support visioncare for the working poor of New York City and for the homebound elderly and scholarships for professional students and vision science research at the college and its patient care facility, the University Optometric Center. 

The gala will be held at Cipriani.

Tickets are $500 per person ($285 tax-deductible). Table sponsorships range from $15,000 to $5000 and ads in the dinner journal begin at $250 for a quarter page up to $1,500 for a gold page. Deadline for journal ads is Feb. 25 and for tickets, March 1.
