NEW YORK--Optical industry executive and marketing strategist Robert M. Fried has authored a book conceived to help Americans put their professional and personal lives into focus. Titled “A Marketing Plan for Life,” published by Perigree Trade Paperback earlier this year, the book takes a step-by-step plan towards helping readers achieve personal goals by applying the same marketing plan system that Fried has used successfully in his work with Fortune 500 companies and other companies in the optical business.

Fried pointed out, “While our careers identify what we do, they do not identify who we are. Careers are just a small part of our entire being.” The book offers a 12-point life plan to create success outside the office as well as in people”s careers.

Formerly senior vice president of marketing for Signature Eyewear, Fried is currently working in the global marketing division of Hong Kong-based Moulin Global Eyecare Holdings.

The cofounder of the ThirdWind Company, Fried conducts Marketing Plan for Life Seminars around the world and has been a guest lecturer at Cornell, UCLA, USA and other universities. He also has strong ties to the corporate community having worked with Motorola, Quasar Electronics, Eddie Bauer and Laura Ashley and is a speaker at company sales and strategy meetings.

Fried”s book is currently receiving an average of “five-star” reader review ratings on Amazon.com as well as mentions in the “Off the Shelf” column on business books in the New York Times. --Marge Axelrad
