GREAT FALLS, Va.--Services were held here Feb. 18 for James Elkin, who died suddenly Feb. 16 after a short illness.

With his wife Cindy, also an optician, who survives him, Elkin ran Point of View, a single-store operation in Falls Church, Va.

A longtime optician, Elkin was a member of the board of the National Academy of Opticianry.
