MILAN, Italy-Marcolin’s Cirillo Marcolin has been reappointed president of Mido, the International Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Exhibition, for another two-year term, while also serving as president of ANFAO (National Optical Goods Manufacturers’ Association).

In his inaugural speech, the president provided an overview of the guidelines for the upcoming sessions of the International Eyewear Exhibition. “Mido continues to be the most important exhibition for this industry,” stated Marcolin, “and has proved to be fundamental in promoting and launching new products for companies across the world”.

Slated for May 5 to 8, 2006, at the Portello area, FieraMilanoCity (a new name for the old location), the 2006 exhibition will have a range of new features.

The new Mido board of directors, elected on July 20, also includes Stefano Larcher of GB Occhialeria, Cesare Massaccesi of Joint Project, Cristiano Milone of Mirage and Nicola Del Din of  Pramaor.

As reported previously, in 2007, Mido will move to a new location,  Fiera Milano Rho- Pero.
