BARCELONA--Indo Group reported a 10 percent sales increase during the first six months of 2005. The company attributed the rise to the growth of its sunglasses and frames business, which grew 7.3 percent during the period, as well as its expansion in international markets. Strong response to the Carolina Herrera, ACB and 212 collections also contributed to Indo’s growth, the company said.

Positive results in Indo's international ophthalmic lens business also drove its performance in the first half of the year. Sales rose 13 percent in France, 231 percent in Germany, 14 percent in Italy and 28 percent in Portugal. Indo’s equipment business line also showed a clear improvement, with an 11 percent increase in sales compared with the same period last year.
