FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J.--The Power Practice, a practice management consulting firm based here, has expanded its staff to meet a broader range of  services in a larger geographical area.

The firm announced the addition of Craig Steinberg, OD, director of legal services; Alan Homestead, OD, billing and coding specialist; Eric Karson, PhD, director of strategic marketing and research; and associate consultants Eric Bran, OD, Chad Gallatin, OD and Matthew Schwartz.

“These hirings are a result of our growth in the last six months, and the need to continue to provide clients with the customized service and attention they demand,” said Gary Gerber, O.D., president and founder of The Power Practice. “We consult with clients on every facet of their practice. Optometrists routinely have issues regarding insurance billing and coding, employment law, market research and so forth, and we felt we needed the professional expertise that will allow us to respond to queries quickly and effectively.”

Gerber said the reason for the addition of three new associate consultants was the need for the firm to increase its “bench strength.” In the last six months, The Power Practice has increased its revenues 38% and expanded to servicing practices in virtually every region of the country.

The Power Practice works on a one-to-one basis with independent practices providing initial on-site visits and conferences followed by detailed, customized action plans. It offers an on-line chat room and client only forum and videotapes.
