PARIS--The SM line by Alain Mikli launches with four new ophthalmic and six sun styles for male and female urbanites and hipsters of all ages.

“With this collection I wanted to bring out the free, unrestrained side of everyone. Mikli SM is provocative for those who wish to make a statement anywhere, anytime,” stated designer Alain Mikli

Style 604 (above) and style 601 (below).

Styles fall within three sub collections with three distinct looks. One subset, provocatively named EXIB, includes frames with a nylon metal front, a tone on tone studded temple and a flex hinge. EASEE styles have acetate fronts with strass metal temples and a flex hinge. TEKNO styles are made with dual color acetate with temple embellishments such as spikes or piercings. To the left are styles from the TEKNO category. The 601 is a style with wide tapering temples, a curved cat eyeshape and features a trendy urban piercing on the frame front. The 604 is an 8-base modified shield with wide tapering temples with a single vertical row of polished silver studs.

Funky point-of-purchase materials call out the line, including a Mikli hanger, which literally hangs the glasses from tiny metal hangers. Counter cards and banners feature a model with a theatric “Marge Simpson” hairstyle that is pinned with different sunglass styles.

Styles are priced to the dispenser from $71 to $75 and are available to optical stores that carry the Mikli collection.
