JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—Effective Jan. 1, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care will be part of a new Comprehensive Care group within parent company Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ), J&J announced yesterday.

Donald M. Casey, Jr., currently company group chairman for J&J's Diabetes business, will assume the role of worldwide chairman, Comprehensive Care, and will become a member of J&J’s executive committee. In addition to J&J Vision Care, the Comprehensive Care group will include Diabetes, Cordis and Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics.

Under the new structure, as of Jan. 1 Michael Sneed, company group chairman, Vision Care, will report to Casey.

J&J is also establishing a new Office of Strategy and Growth, to identify opportunities for future growth distinct from those being pursued by the company’s existing businesses, and a Surgical Care group to focus on advancing technologies, solutions and services to enhance patient care in the surgical setting, an announcement said.
