MILAN--Arnette, named for Greg Arnet, the well-known Californian surfer and first designer for the collection, debuts its Spring/Summer collection for Luxottica.

Arnette, known for creating stylish high-quality eyewear that features light wrap-around frames, quickly became a cult accessory for people practicing extreme sports when it launched in 1992. Today, the different collections continue to fuse modern lifestyle with dynamic, sporty styling while paying attention to detail and the latest fashion trends, the company says.

The new models reconfirm the brands roots in innovation and sport. Several new models share some features; they are unbreakable and scratch-resistant, offer 100 percent UV protection, and are adaptable for maximum comfort. The latest collection also introduces original color combinations fusing the brand’s modernity with the high performance levels fundamental to sports activities.

Some select models that blend sport with fashion are also making their debut in this collection. The AN4073 features classic styling with a sporty aerodynamic wrap-around frame and slender arms that extend from the mask-type front for unparalleled flexibility. The injection-molded AN 4081 features a broad shape for style that is innovative yet classic with a fashionable front, a double-bridge and broad arms. The AN4086 is made from injection-molded acetate and combines strong, clean lines with a broad, contemporary shape. The Arnette logo on a metal inset adorns the temples on the seven available colors, while the polished black frame features a contrasting texture on the inside.

The Spring/Summer 2007 Arnette collection is priced to the dispenser from $36 to $50.
