Rhein has introduced the Henry 24-ga. Millimeter Ruler, developed in coordination with Michael M. Henry, MD. The instrument (Product #8-07157) slides easily through a 1- mm paracentesis, and is configured like a spatula for easy and effective sweeping of the iris and manipulation of the nucleus. The shaft is strong enough to be used as a rotator, and for manually dissecting a nucleus. The anterior surface contains 10 dimples spaced exactly 1 mm apart. The 5th dimple is larger than the others for quick reference to a 5 mm distance, making it ideal for measuring the size of a capsulorhexis. Since the new accommodative lenses are capsulorhexis-size dependent, the new ruler solves the guesswork in sizing the rhexis.

Also from Rhein comes the new Seibel Safety Vertical & Chang Horizontal Double Ended Chopper, developed with Barry S. Seibel, MD, and David F. Chang, MD. The new instrument combines the Seibel Safety Chopper for hard nucleus quick chopping, and the Chang Chopper for drag chopping on a softer nucleus.

Both of these new instruments are reusable, autoclaveable, made of stainless steel, guaranteed for life and offered for a 30-day surgical evaluation without obligation. Call (813) 885-5050 for more information.
