At the 2007 U.S. Open Golf Tournament, Matt Killen, professional
golf instructor and swing coach (left), met with Pat
Huot (right), national account executive, Transitions Optical,
Inc., to discuss Killen’s success with wearing Oakley
Activated by Transitions lenses. At 22 years old, Killen is
the youngest instructor to coach and represent three PGA
Tour professionals including J.B. Holmes, Kenny Perry
and Shaun Micheel.
“Oakley Activated by Transitions lenses have been a
great choice of eyewear for both my golf profession
and everyday life,” says Killen. “My vision plays a huge
role in my career and, for golf, the lenses provide the
best possible visual performance for me in changing
light conditions. Plus, I am out in the sun all day and
it is nice to know my eyes are being protected from
UV and glare.”
In addition to coaching PGA golfers, Killen also
trains various Nationwide Tour players and Division 1 college golfers. He has hosted The
Golf Channel’s “Academy Live” and has been featured twice on “Inside the PGA Tour.”
