MUNICH—German lens manufacturer Rodenstock has named two experienced global brand managers, Oliver Kastalio and Peter Körfer-Schün to top management positions.

Kastalio, who was appointed chief executive officer, has held executive positions with Procter & Gamble for 19 years in the areas of product development, brand management, marketing, M&A, finance and sales. Most recently, he was general manager and vice president of the Global Prestige Products division, with worldwide responsibility for luxury products and scents from brands such as Hugo Boss, Baldessarini, Rochas, Dunhill, Montblanc, Lacoste, Escada and Jean Patou. He was in charge of product development, production, logistics, marketing, and sales to an extent of more than €1 billion and managed a division with more than 2,000 employees.

Körfer-Schün, who was appointed to Rodenstock’s supervisory board, served as CEO of Grohe AG until 2004. Under his leadership, the medium-size bathroom fittings manufacturer from Hemer in Sauerland developed into a complete provider of sanitary products and systems and a global brand for bathroom fittings, Rodenstock said.

According to Körfer-Schün, he and Kastalio, together with management, have put a 100-day plan into motion for the strategic further development of the company. “The Rodenstock brand has one-of-a-kind development potential,” he said. “Rodenstock is the only manufacturer worldwide that combines high-precision lenses and a broad range of classical and elegant frames into a unique 'system of vision.’”
