RANCHO COROVA, Calif.—Eyefinity/OfficeMate, a VSP Global company, has released OfficeMate and ExamWRITER version 9.0 (v9.0). Offering more than 175 enhancements, v9.0 give users a wide variety of new features to benefit their practice and increase office efficiency, the company said, adding that v9.0 incorporates new technologies that offer a foundation for a future certified version that will position users to receive federal stimulus money through the HITECH Act.

ExamWRITER v9.0 builds upon the strengths of the previous version by including automated PQRI code documentation for simple reporting, Red Flags Rule compliance and the ability to link diagnosis codes to procedure codes in ExamWRITER. Users will also find a new task manager, which allows them to create, assign and track tasks to specific providers and staff.
Coinciding with the new software version release, Eyefinity/OfficeMate has launched a first-of-its-kind web-based tool called MyInstallCenter which assists existing OfficeMate clients by asking a series of questions about their practice, hardware, and which parts of the software they currently use to ensure a smooth upgrade, including a customized training program.
