OA/COA – Galleria Area
The Optometric Assistant/Certified Optometric Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients seen in the Optometry or Ophthalmology departments. He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patient and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.
Requires 1+ years previous Medical Assistant or Optometric Assistant experience if not a graduate of an approved Medical/Optometric Assistant program or 6 months experience and be a graduate of an approved Medical/Optometric Assistant program. COA/CPOA certification, preferred. BCLS required. Ability to use NCT, Autorefractor, computer related equipment, Lensometer and to perform K-readings preferred.
