LAKELAND, Tenn.—The Opticians Association of America recently named Mark Cloer of Jackson, Miss., its State Leader of the Year.

Presented annually at the OAA’s state leadership conference, the award represents “the highest honor the association can bestow upon an individual,” an announcement said.

Cloer, who has been in the optical industry for more than 30 years, is a past OAA president and served two terms as president of the Mississippi Association of Dispensing Opticians. He is owner and president of EYE2EYE Inc. and serves as an instructor and director for the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s contact lens service in Jackson.
