Affiliated O.D.s have invented many novel and effective ways to maximize their practices within the world’s largest retail organization. During 2009, the Optometric Business Academy™ (OBA) will continue to be the leading national forum for sharing practice-building ideas among the nearly 3,000 O.D.s affiliated with Walmart and Sam’s Club.

For the third consecutive year, the OBA will award cash prizes to O.D.s submitting the best ideas. Share your strategies regarding signage, recall and referral methods, promotional tactics, advertising, web site marketing, office decor and community outreach techniques. There is no limit to the number of ideas you can submit.

This year’s awards will include one $1,000 grand prize for the best idea submitted and five $200 cash awards for O.D.s submitting ideas judged among the best. The deadline for submission is September 1st. Awards will be announced in the fall and will appear in a future edition of Acuity In Business and online at oba-ce.com.
