LOS ANGELES—Oliver Peoples introduces their summer 2009 collection of sun and ophthalmic styles.

The first highlight is the “Zooey Signature Style” which will be released in coordination with the brands newest ad campaign. Created in collaboration with Hollywood actress, Zooey Deschanel, the retro-inspired frame is available as optical eyewear or a sunglass. Hand-crafted of substantial plastic with beveled contours, it features a vintage metal plate with ridged detailing at the end pieces. The lenses feature a one-of-a-kind “breathe” logo in the shape of kissing lips.

The Gadson sunglass style joins the established ‘Suspended Metal’ category. Produced in a traditional aviator shape, the Gadson is flattering on both men and women.

Last in the season’s highlighted styles is the Marbella, which flaunts a seamless graduating of shades in custom hues in hand-crafted, polished acetate. Metal temples in complementing colors flow from the frame front, providing the illusion of the sunglass being a solitary piece.

These new styles from Oliver Peoples for summer 2009 are priced to the dispenser between $160 and $375.
