Celebrating their new relationship (l to r), Elaine Fox of Public Health Management Corp. joins City of Philadelphia officials Dainette Mintz and Sally Fisher and Davis Vision’s Laura Dyer and Joe Wende, OD.
PHILADELPHIA—Davis Vision has joined forces with the Public Health Management Corp. to provide free vision care and eyeglasses to uninsured homeless people here, through the Mary Howard Health Center.

“By evaluating these individuals’ eye health, we can initiate care immediately for those who need it, helping to correct or prevent vision disorders,” said Joe Wende, OD, senior vice president of professional affairs and quality management for Davis Vision.

The new service began in November, with free vision care launched in January. Eyeglasses will made at the new Davis ophthalmic lab in Newton Square, Pa.
