LAS VEGAS—Essilor threw a retirement party for Mike Daley, aka Mr. Varilux, on Oct. 2 at the Wynn hotel’s Blush nightclub here. Friends and colleagues from throughout the optical industry gathered for cocktails and conversation at the nightclub during an official sendoff for industry veteran Daley, Lens Group president for Essilor. Daley is leaving the company after 32 years of service with Essilor. His retirement was effective Aug. 29, 2008.
