LOS ANGELES--Oliver Peoples presents new sun and optical styles for Fall/Winter 2008.

Standouts in the Oliver People’s optical offerings include the Emerson and the Margriet. The Emerson, modeled after the brand’s popular O’Malley and Riley styles, is hand-crafted in lightweight plastic and includes pin-detailing and a vintage keyhole bridge. Custom filigree core-wire detailing is visible from the interior. The Margriet is the debut optical style of the Suspended Metal group. The frame features inlaid metal which is visible from the frame front, accentuating the lens shape and resulting in a floating metal wire that appears suspended.

Oliver Peoples has also expanded the Suspended Metal Series with the release of a new sunglass design, the Talya. The Talya is a modernized Twiggy inspired style; an interpretation of what the glamorous, fashion icon from the ‘60s would wear today. A hand-laid metal wire is encased in two layers of hand-sculpted acetate; a crystal Lucite and a background color of ultra marine, dark tortoise, espresso, black or ivory shell, which shows through.

These new styles from Oliver Peoples are priced to the dispenser between $110 and $155.
