Kids need sport glasses. Make certain parents understand an ophthalmic frame with polycarbonate or Trivex lenses, although excellent for everyday use, is not sufficient for children involved in contact sports. Kids might resist sport eyewear because they don’t want to look “dorky.” Explain their favorite sport heroes wear protective eyewear because it’s the smart thing to do. And smart is the ultimate cool. Then show them all the great options: attention-grabbing colors, styles like Dad and Mom wear, great eye protection and a comfortable fit—just what the kids AND their parents want.
