Modo launches Jason Wu Eyewear, inspired by the modern and innovative ready-to-wear collections of designer Jason Wu. The initial collection contains four acetate sunglasses with double-brushed stainless-steel details (two women’s and two unisex styles) made in Japan. Lenses are double-gradient CR-39. Shapes include cat-eye, aviator, rectangular and oversized oval designs. Colors consist of translucent crystals in aquamarine, caramel, black, olive, onyx, topaz and textured tortoise. Each style is characterized by subtle logo treatments in one of four accent colors, which correspond to the interior treatments on the designer’s apparel.

PHILOSOPHY:
“We are honored and very excited about this collection, which fits perfectly within our brand portfolio. Jason is one of the most
talented designers of our time. His use of luxurious fabrications, attention to details and youthful attitude fit perfectly with Modo’s product philosophy,” says Modo CEO Alessandro Lanaro. Jason Wu adds: “Launching an eyewear collection felt like a natural progression for the Jason Wu brand. The sunglasses combine sleek, modern finishes that I love with unusual materials and details. I wanted to put my stamp on an item that could be accessible to a broader market and with an inherently chic connotation.”

MARKETING:
A logo plaque is available. Each sunglass comes with a case and pouch.
