Kristi is the program head and associate professor at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Opticianry program in Richmond, Virginia. She has an associate degree in opticianry, bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in occupational and technical education. Kristi is currently the president of the National Federation of Opticianry Schools, President of the Opticians Association of Virginia, and past board member of the Contact Lens Society of America and education committee chairman for the Opticians Association of America. She is an ABO Master Optician and a Fellow of the Contact Lens Society of America with 19 years of experience between both private and retail optical settings. Kristi lectures at state and national meetings, writes for national trade publications and has worked as a consultant for a continuing education website and private practice training program.
